A Houston-area businessman was expected in court Dec. 23 after being indicted on fraud charges.

N. Ehrman of The Woodlands was indicted Dec. 16 on 29 counts of wire
fraud and seven counts of engaging in monetary transactions in property
derived from specified unlawful activity.

According to a press release from U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson of the Southern District of Texas, John Ehrman
of The Woodlands was indicted Dec. 16 on 29 counts of wire fraud and
seven counts of engaging in monetary transactions in property derived
from specified unlawful activity.
The
indictment alleges Ehrman was the president of Woodlands Oil and Gas
Inc. and that he accumulated more than $2.3 million from investors
before the fraud was discovered.
